Beds, Beds, And More Beds
Fluffy can spend up to 20 hours a day snoozing. Therefore, it’s really no surprise to find beds at the top of the list here. Pick up a few store-bought beds, and put them in different rooms.
Window Seats
We recommend keeping your feline friend inside. The Great Outdoors can be very dangerous for a little furball! However, Fluffy will appreciate having a comfy spot where she can relax and spy on the neighborhood birds and squirrels.
Kitty Furniture
Fluffy doesn’t mind ‘borrowing’ our beds and sofas, but she really should have at least one thing of her own. Cat towers are the gold standard here, as they serve multiple ‘purrposes.’ They provide napping spots, kitty nail care stations, and jungle gyms. Plus, they offer our feline overlords great vantage points from which they can supervise their kingdoms.
Playtime!
Play with your fuzzy buddy regularly! Pouncing and jumping are great kitty workouts for Fluffy! Plus, your pet has to focus to nail those tricky run/jump/pounce combinations. Offer your furball lots of toys, and take time to play with her daily.
Pet-Safe Plants
As mentioned above, Fluffy is much safer inside. However, you can give her a taste of nature by setting out some pet-safe plants for her to sniff at and nibble on. Check the ASPCA site here for suggestions.
Cardboard Boxes
This one is fairly self-explanatory. Paper bags work too! Just cut the handles off, so Fluffy doesn’t get tangled.
Catio
Want to really go all-out? Combine all of these things by making Fluffy a catio. You don’t have to break the bank building a custom kitty enclosure. A porch, spare room, or even a sunny corner will do!
Love
Last but not least, just pay attention to your cat. Fluffy needs to feel loved and safe to really thrive!
